In this interview with the author of the book, "Patterns in Nature: Why the Natural World Looks the Way it Does", Philip Ball discusses why he decided to focus on the somewhat imperfect, but completely telling patterns that we find again and again in nature. Reaching beyond logic and mathematics nature presents us with these patterns - in snowflakes, in zebra stripes, in a cliff's edge - that seem bother perfectly random and highly structured at the same time.
